Modifications to the Almelo-De Haandrik canal, aimed at accommodating larger vessels, have caused subsidence issues in several waterfront homes. In response, sustainable foundation solutions are being implemented along the canal to protect and stabilize affected properties. One of the residential houses has already undergone professional foundation repair to restore structural integrity and prevent further damage.
