Characteristic dyke house jacked and straightened

Commissioned by the water authority Waterschap Rivierenland, Bresser jacked a characteristic dyke house dating from 1888 about 17 centimetres straighter. Prior to jacking, the building was refounded at basement level with 20 vibration-free pressed foundation piles and a new structural floor with walls. The misalignment was then carefully corrected with hydraulic jacks, with the property being jacked straight on the same piles. After reaching the new position, the house was structurally secured. The next step is the further renovation of the listed building.
